Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Litigation
Founding partner Matthew Haynie manages Forester Haynie’s intake and pharmaceutical/medical device litigation teams. He enjoys partnering with clients and their families, learning their stories, and navigating the legal process on their behalf. Matthew has worked on thousands of cases from start to finish and has helped clients recover hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements. Witnessing their resilience after injuries, sickness, or trauma gives Matthew the grit to fight large companies and entities that put profits before people’s lives.
Matthew currently handles the ongoing legal dispute against Bayer regarding the weedkiller, Roundup. The plaintiffs in this intricate lawsuit claim that Monsanto manipulated its studies on glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup. They also allege that both Monsanto and Bayer neglected to warn consumers of the potential cancer risks associated with Roundup use. Recently, Bayer announced that it intends to settle Roundup claims for approximately ten billion dollars.
Matthew also represents clients in many other complex multi-district and consolidated litigations. These include:

- Antidepressant medication
- Surgical mesh
Matthew obtained his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. He also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and journalism from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated magna cum laude.
