Thousand of lawsuits are being filed around the United States involving Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) such as Nexium, Prevacid, and Prilosec. These lawsuits claim that the drug manufacturers did not warn doctors or patients of the potential risks of kidney problems. PPIs are prescribed for a wide range of issues, including heartburn, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and others.
