Q: When & Why did you decide to become a lawyer?
I became a lawyer because I wanted to help people. Prior to go to law school, I thought I would become a family law attorney and represent women who had been in abusive relationships. While my career path did not take me there specifically, I am glad that I am in a role where I can help people who can’t always help themselves.
Q: What does being an attorney mean to you?
Being an attorney is about making sure justice is done, no matter what. We take an oath to ensure that we defend the laws of the Constitution of the United States and the state of Texas, and I take that very seriously.
Q: What’s your favorite part about being an attorney?
I truly enjoy getting to know my clients, and learning about their lives and their families. It makes it so much more rewarding when I am able to help them in some way.
Q: What do you love about FH?
I love that we are all a family. Everyone at FH truly cares about each other, and not just in a work sense. We get to know each other’s significant others, kids, and other family members. The culture of FH sets it apart from other law firms.
