Forester Haynie’s summer law clerks finish their clerkship this week. Not only has this been a great learning opportunity for the law students from SMU Dedman School of Law, and Texas A&M University School of Law, but it was also a chance for the firm’s founding partners to act as mentors for the next generation of young lawyers.
Rising 3L Adrianne Mandes from SMU Dedman School of Law states the highlight of her clerkship was the opportunity to assist on cases at every stage. She appreciates the creative control she was given by the partners and believes her communication skills have improved as a result. She accredits her time at the firm with her elevated conviction regarding her future career as an attorney.
Ian Meadows of Texas A&M School of Law says “between drafting complaints and demand letters, and evaluating legal claims for over 200 clients, us clerks were privileged to see the legal process from beginning to end.”
By the same token, Dallas’ own rising 2L Benjamin Schindler from SMU Dedman School of Law says Forester Haynie provided an exceptional environment for professional growth. By facilitating introductions at various networking events, Forester Haynie has opened doors to many diverse legal communities that are sure to serve him well throughout his budding legal career in Dallas. As for his parting words, he had this to say: “I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge my experience at FH has instilled. From frequent client management to drafting, research, and acquiring new clients and potential classes of plaintiffs, my clerkship at FH has prepared me to jump in at any stage of litigation with the utmost confidence and preparation. The high-energy office environment made for a fun, efficient workplace, one I woke up each day eager to be a part of and that has made for an equally bitter-sweet departure.”
