The manufactures of popular Low-T product, Testim, have agreed to settle all pending cases against them. Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Endo Pharmaceuticals and GlaxoSmithKline have reached an agreement to settle about 1,300 cases brought on behalf of males who have suffered injuries after using testosterone replacement therapy. These cases are part of the Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) court in Chicago that involves more than 6,000 cases brought against various drug makers for failing to warn doctors and patients about the potential side effects of testosterone replacement treatments. Testosterone Replacement Therapy has been associated with an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, blood clots, pulmonary embolism, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Because of the settlement, the court has ruled that all proceedings involving cases against Endo, Auxilium and GSK will be stayed for 45 days, so that the parties can finalize the Master Settlement Agreement. As a result, pending trial dates scheduled were vacated. The agreement to resolve all Testim lawsuits comes shortly after a recent Axiron settlement reached by Eli Lilly to resolve all cases involving their competing testosterone product. That said, the terms of neither deal have been disclosed yet. While both of these global testosterone settlements are expected to resolve thousands of lawsuits, no agreements have been made for Androgel or Androderm lawsuits.

  1. Testosterone therapy has ruined so many lives and there is no telling how many people are going to pay the ultimate price and don’t even know it. All for taking a product that was not approved by the FDA for their condition, their is not a disease called low T. I just wonder why the CEOs are not heading to jail for manslauder. The only reason that is not happening is the lawyers.I think Jeff Sessions should be investigating all the greedy CEO. I say ban testosterone for everything that it was not approved for and prosecute all that were a part in this frod that killed and disabled so many.
